Clean Up Australia Day 2022

Clean up Australia Day is on Sunday March 6 and you are invited to step up to clean up your local area.

Clean Up Australia Day is held on the first Sunday of March every year and encourages people to clean up their local areas. Participants can host or attend clean ups organised by other groups, which can be found on the Clean Up Australia website.

Community groups, associations, businesses, schools and individuals are encouraged to register at cleanup.org.au.

Clean Up Australia will provide you with a Clean Up Kit and other materials to run the day. These are sent free of charge for community, youth and school registrations.

Business Clean Up Day

The Business Clean Up Australia Day staff engagement and team-building events are a great way for organisations to connect their teams through shared experiences. For businesses there is a registration fee of $165 as a way of contributing to the free kits we send out to the community.

The next Business Clean Up Day is on Tuesday 1 March 2022 but you can run a Business Clean Up event any day of the year!

School Clean Up Day

A School Clean Up Day is a great way to inspire your young people to learn about the impact of rubbish on their local environment while playing an active role in their community.

Register your school and work together on School Clean Up Day on Friday 4 March - it can be the school grounds, a local park, or maybe bushland near your school - it's up to you.

Council Support

Council can also offer support by helping you to:

  1. Identify a local hot-spot.
  2. Providing extra gloves, hi-vis vests, signage and bags for event organisers.
  3. Litter collection at a clean-up site.

Extra materials or rubbish collection, must be pre-organised with Council by Monday 28 February, 2022.
