Draft Flood Study for Urana, Morundah, Boree Creek, Oaklands & Rand

Following Council’s September monthly meeting the draft Flood Study Reports for the towns of Urana, Morundah, Boree Creek, Oaklands and Rand have been released on public exhibition to seek feedback from the community.

The draft Flood Study reports model flooding and maps flood affected lands within each town.

The draft reports are the first step in the development of a Floodplain Management Process for the towns.

A community meeting will be held with a presentation from the consultant. There will be displays and an opportunity for residents to ask questions.

The community meeting is scheduled to be held at the Urana Bowling Club on Thursday 12 October 2017 from 5.30pm – 7.30pm

The draft studies are also available for viewing at any Council office.

Submissions and the exhibition period closes Friday 20 October 2017.
