The Corowa Friends of the Library will be hosting their annual book sale on Saturday 26 January from 9am – 2pm in the Memorial Hall Plaza, Sanger Street Corowa.

The book sale is the groups major fundraiser for the year and provides the opportunity for residents and visitors to purchase pre-loved books and DVDs that have been donated or replaced by new stock at the Corowa Library. A range of genres will be available including children’s books, fiction, biographies, mystery, romance, Australian authors and sci-fi.

The Friends of the Library are a volunteer group that use their skills, experience and passion to support the delivery of library services. Their fundraising efforts help to fund programs and initiatives for members and those who visit the Corowa Library throughout the year.

Programs offered by the Friends of the Library include the delivery of books to home borrowers and the weekly recording of The Free Press, which is then copied to CD and delivered to those patrons who find it difficult to get to the library because of age, poor health or disability.

The community is being encouraged to stop by the book sale to pick up a bargain and support the Corowa Friends of the Library. Books and DVDs are priced from $1.

For further information please contact the Corowa Library on P: 02 6033 8941.
