The Corowa skate park is set to light up for the annual North East Skate Park Series. The Skate Park Series hosts eleven Skate/BMX/Scooter and music events at skate parks across the region for young people aged between 12 and 25.

The Corowa event will be on Saturday 21 October 2pm – 6pm with registration commencing at 1.30pm.

Local Live music from the Living Space, Jack and Harry Kay, Kayne Lyndon and Riley and Josh Black are sure to delight the crowd, as well as a BBQ provided by the APEX club and a variety of demos in skate, scoot and BMX will be on show to inspire participants.

The initiative provides an opportunity for people of all abilities to have some fun, show off their skills and be in the running for some great prizes.

Federation Council Mayor Pat Bourke encouraged local youth to attend the North East Skate Park Series and join in on the fun.

“The North East Skate Park Series is a great event for the young people in our region,” Mayor Bourke said.

“We are thrilled to see it held here in Corowa and we hope that is well supported by the youth.

“There are some great prizes up for grabs, courtesy of Timmy G’s, so come along on Saturday and show your skills to win a prize or just simply enjoy the fun atmosphere.”

The event is free to attend and participate in, fully supervised and drug, alcohol and smoke free.

The North East Skate Park Series is a partnership between Alpine Shire, Federation Council and Indigo Shire.

Further information about the series, including dates for future events can be found on the North East Skate Park Series Facebook page.
