Building a safer and more resilient community is a shared responsibility across everyone living in the Federation Council local government area. We work with government, agencies, and our community to minimise the impact of emergencies on residents and visitors.

Further information on shared responsibility can be located in the State Emergency Management Plan (SEMP). Our Municipal Emergency Management Plan complements and supports the SEMP by providing local knowledge and expertise, as well as outlining capacity and responsibilities.

Before an Emergency

Emergencies can be stressful and emotional events. Thinking ahead is crucial for protecting your loved ones and assets.

During an Emergency

In an emergency it is essential to stay alert and keep informed.
In the event of an emergency, always dial 000. This will direct you to Ambulance, Fire, and Police.

After an Emergency

In an emergency, we provide relief and recovery to impacted communities and coordinate recovery efforts afterwards.
