Federation Council is committed to upgrading Howlong's water infrastructure. As part of our detailed hydraulic modelling, we need your help to pinpoint areas of low water pressure across town. Your participation in the Bucket Test provides data that will directly assist our engineers in designing the most effective solutions.

What is the Howlong Bucket Test?

It's a quick, easy test you can do at home to measure your current water flow rate. All you need is a standard 10-litre bucket and a stopwatch (or your phone's timer).

How to Do the Bucket Test (5 Simple Steps!)

1. Find a standard 10-litre bucket.

2. Open your garden tap (or other outdoor tap) closest to your water meter fully.

3. Time how long it takes to fill the 10-litre bucket.

4. Note down the time in seconds. Also note the time and day you recorded this information. 

5. Complete the online form below to send your test results to Council.
