Volunteer Week

Annually Federation Council hosts an event to recognize the contribution our local volunteers make within community groups, organisations and the success of community events and projects.

This year, National Volunteers Week will be celebrated from Monday 16 May – Sunday 22 May with the theme 'Better Together'.

Federation Council invites volunteers in our community to celebrate National Volunteer week by attending a day out in Urana on Sunday 22 May from 11:30am - 3:00pm at the Waterfront Pavilion.

The day includes a roast lunch and canapes, guest speakers and live music by Marcus Osborne.

Guests Speakers for the day will be Federation Council’s Citizens of the Year, over the last few years;

  • Lauren & Dean Holgate (2022),
  • Vivian Spilva (2021),
  • Liz Seeliger (2020),
  • Peter Seeliger (2018).

Community members are required to register their community group and volunteers to attend the luncheon and for bus transport.

Registrations to attend the event will be available until Monday 16 May (unless booked out before this date).

Bus transport is available via the following schedule:
