Grab a bag of popcorn, and a slurpy, settle back in your bean bag as the Federation Youth Council hosts an outdoor movie night on Thursday 11 April at sundown the Oaklands Recreation Ground.
Federation Youth Mayor, Ella Webb said, the Federation Youth Council are excited to do their first official project as part of the 2024 NSW Youth Week,
“We are excited to be able to run our first event and we hope everyone enjoys the movie “Instant Family”. We are encouraging everyone to bring your friends, your comfiest outfit, and snuggly blanket for a fun-filled night at the Oaklands Outdoor Cinema.”
Instant Family is a family friendly comedy drama about a couple decides to start a family by adopting three children through foster care. But chaos strikes as they stumble through caring for a traumatised teenager and her two young siblings.
Youth Deputy Mayor, and Oaklands resident, Dayna Carter is looking forward to the night, “It is wonderful to be able to host an event in Oaklands that aims to boost the youth community and provide entertainment.”
“The Oaklands Football Netball Club will be hosting a canteen on the night with all the favourite movie snacks. People are also welcome to bring their own food,” Dayna said.
Bookings are not required, but primary school students must be accompanied by an adult.
Oaklands Outdoor Cinema is afree event as a part of the 2024 Youth Week Celebrations and supported by the NSW Government through the NSW Youth Week Program.
