Council celebrates Australia Day Published on 26 January 2021 Residents, friends, family and visitors celebrated everything that’s great about living in Australia at this year’s Federation Council Australia Day celebrations. A crowd of more than 200 people were joined by Member for Albury Justin Clancy, Federation Council representatives and the Urana Community Group to participate in festivities at the Aquatic Centre in Urana on January 26. Council stalwart retires after 58 years of dedicated service Published on 22 December 2020 In 1962, Norm O’Donoghue began as a labourer for Corowa Shire Council, working with Bert Williams on the communal footpaths of Sanger Street.Little did Norm know at the time, but it would be this year, and his new job at Council, that would see him embark on an astonishing 58 year career in local government.
