Council is convenor of the Local Committee for the ClubGRANTS scheme, which provides grants to not-for-profit community groups from local gaming machine profits through an annual program.
The Local Committee will meet after the grant round closes to considering the applications and provide recommendation. The registered clubs that donate the funds make the final decision on the allocation of their contributions.
ClubGRANTS applications for the 2018 Round opened on Wednesday 18 April 2018 and will close on 29 June 2018.
Funding is provided to a range of projects including services for:
- Community welfare and social services.
- Community development.
- Community health services.
- Employment assistance activities.
Community groups can apply for funding for projects that meet local priority needs. The 2018 local priorities, in no particular order include:
- Community Welfare and Social Services.
- Community Transport.
- Aged Services.
- Youth Services.
- Emergency Accommodation Assistance / Homelessness.
- Emergency Services.
