Have your Say! Removal of BMX Track in Howlong

Federation Council is seeking community feedback on a proposal from the Lowe Square Management Committee to remove the existing BMX dirt track at the reserve in Lowe Square, Howlong. The primary goal is to free up space for much-needed overflow car parking during major sporting events and high-use periods.

The Lowe Square Committee has raised the issue of the current track at several meetings, noting that it is outdated, in poor condition, and no longer meets the needs of the community.

While the immediate action proposed is the removal of the track to convert the area into overflow parking, the Committee also supports a plan to replace the facility with a modern alternative into the future if grant funding becomes available
