The Corowa Saleyards Agricultural Hub features the following facilities:

Yards

  • 457 x selling pens and 124 x holding pens
  • Roof over selling pens with lighting and solar
  • 3 x drafts
  • 5 x truck ramps and 3 x tray truck ramps
  • 8 x overhead auctioneer walkways for selling pens

Site

  • Carparking for 80 passenger vehicles
  • Truck and tray truck parking
  • Effluent management system
  • Stormwater management system

Administrative building which includes:

  • Meeting/training room
  • Cafe and dining hall
  • Balcony area
  • Council office
  • Agents office

The Corowa Saleyards site underwent a major upgrade in 2023/24. The $11.743M Corowa Regional Saleyards Redevelopment Project was jointly funded between NSW Government ($10.1M) and Council ($1.63M) aimed to a future-proofed agricultural facility addressing animal welfare, productivity, education, and training opportunities, impacts of climate change, and access to costs effective sustainable water and power.

The project has comprised of four distinct work packages which are being delivered concurrently:

  • Stage 1: Effluent system upgrades
  • Stage 2: Civil works: stormwater basin, site entry, carpark, circulation road, truck wash
  • Stage 3: Administration Building and Multipurpose Learning Centre 
  • Stage 4: Roof structure, roof stormwater collection, solar PV system

All works under this redevelopment project were completed in May 2024 and the official opening ceremony with Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Tara Moriarty, MLC, was held in March 2024.

Meeting Room and Function Spaces 

The Corowa Saleyards provides a meeting room and Function Spaces - Dining Hall and Balcony Areas for hire.

Cafe

Bluegum Catering operates the onsite cafe at Corowa Saleyards.

Their cafe opening hours are 

  • Mondays 6am - 2.30pm
  • Tuesdays - Thursday 7am - 2.30am

They also provide pre-prepared meals and catering.  They can assist you with any catering associated with room or facility hire at the Saleyards

Truck Wash

The truck wash at Corowa Saleyards is operational 24/7 for livestock transporters only.

It is not designed as a regional wash down location.

Water Standpipe

A water standpipe fill point is located at the Corowa Saleyards next to the carpark at the front of the site.

The standpipe dispenses water for both private and commercial water carters.
