Anyone that visits Corowa Saleyards is advised to read and become familiar with the operational procedures available from the bottom of this page.

Property Identification Code (PIC)

The PIC for the Corowa Saleyards is NF991802. This code is required to be nominated on transportation documentation.

Sheep and Goat Electronic Identification

NSW is currently transitioning to mandatory individual electronic identification for sheep and goats.  All sheep in NSW born after 1 January 2025, must be fitted with an EID tag.  All sheep arriving from Victoria must also be fitted with an EID tag.

With the assistance of funding from the NSW Government, Federation Council has installed EID scanning infrastructure at the site as well as upgraded its operating software.

Agents are now scanning and recording sheep that are required to be fitted with EID tags.  The NSW Government is monitoring scanning rates for compliance.

Individual electronic identification (eID) for sheep and goats is an enhancement to the existing mob-based system as part of the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS).

National Livestock Identification System

Integrity Systems have implemented a number of important changes to the Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) National Vendor Declaration (NVD) effective 1 January 2021.

Only the current NVD Version 0720 and eNVD’s will be accepted to process stock through a sale.

Any vendors/producers presenting with older NVD versions or eDECs must follow the Integrity Systems eNVD process or contact their helpdesk, prior to the start of the sale, otherwise their stock cannot be sold through saleyards and they will be turned away.

This change will be effective from the first sale at the Corowa Saleyards on Monday 4 January 2021.

Pollution Incident Response Management Plan

The Pollution Incident Response Management Plan (PIRMP) has been prepared as a requirement of the Protection of the Environment Legislation Amendment Act 2011, the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 Part 5.7A, and the Protection of the Environment Operations (General) Amendment (Pollution Incident Response Management Plans) Regulation 2012.
