Council is excited to announce that the Bangerang Park Playground construction will be commencing early September 2019.

The site set up, fencing and preliminary works will begin on the Saturday 7 September and with weather permitting all works shall be completed late December/early January.

The designs are inspired by the theme 'Life by the River' and colours of the River Redgum Environment. The family friendly area will contain a free-standing all abilities play system that includes a twin tower and sky walk, sand and water play, balance and agility, spin dish, swings, sculptural pieces as well as musical items. The playground will be set within new plantings of riparian foliage that compliments the senses. The design incorporates all abilities access and play for all ages.

The total project value includes the purchase and installation of playground equipment, storm water and electrical upgrades, paths, BBQ's, picnic settings, landscaping, stage relocation and new public toilet construction.

The construction area and part of the Civic Centre car park will be closed to the public during this time and will be secured with temporary fencing.

Council is looking forward to delivering this significant upgrade for the Federation Council area.
