This week, Council has released the exciting new design concepts of the $1.2 million All Abilities Adventure Playground at Purtle Park in Mulwala which is set to be a significant development for the Federation Council area.

The family friendly area will contain a free-standing all abilities play system that will quite literally ‘reach to the skies’, with children able to move between Sky Cabins along swaying paths 8m above the ground, a new toilet block and parking.

The project has progressed with design concepts and is now available for review by the community.

To assist with informing the design, a focus group was formed and are currently meeting with sponsors, schools and community groups to show and discuss the designs and gather feedback. This feedback will be collectively provided to Council by the end of May.

Council is also inviting the broader community to provide their feedback in relation to the design concepts for the All Abilities Adventure Playground and Toilet block upgrade to inform the finalisation of the design.

The concept design is currently on display at the Mulwala Library and Council Office, 71 Melbourne Street, Mulwala during opening hours or it can be downloaded from the bottom on this page.

Council’s Project Manager, Keith Biglin will be available to ask questions and provide feedback on the design for the playground on Wednesday 22 and Monday 27 May, 2-4pm at Purtle Park. Concept designs will also be displayed at the park and BBQ area.

Council is inviting the community to review the design concept and provide feedback before 5pm, Friday 31 May 2019.

Anyone interested in providing feedback can do so;

  • In writing addressed to the General Manager, PO Box 77, Corowa NSW 2646,
