Tourism networking luncheon a success

Federation Council was pleased to host its latest Tourism Networking Luncheon at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort in March.

Tourism operators from throughout the North of the Murray Region enjoyed a presentation by social media expert David Dusink of Ink Social and received an informative update from Council’s Tourism Team.

Operators in attendance were also given a sneak peek at the material for upcoming tourism campaigns set to go live in April 2021, North of the Murray branding actions delivered to date.

David detailed the importance of promoting tourism businesses in the social media space, some tricks of the trade and best practice social media. Touching on how to set up Facebook Business manager and Ads manager, the best way to get the biggest bang for your buck when using paid advertising on social media and debunking digital marketing myths.

Federation Council Mayor, Cr Pat Bourke said Council would like to extend a special thanks to all Tourism Operators that attended the networking session.

“These sessions are a great way to network with likeminded operators and keep up to date on Council’s tourism efforts,” he said.

“Council encourages all operators to keep an eye out for the next invitation and come along to the next session scheduled for June 2021.”
