Federation Council is proud to present the Operational Plan and Annual Budget for the 2025/26 financial year. This document is a key component of our Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) Framework, serving as Council’s commitment to the community for all the projects, programs, and actions we plan to undertake in the coming year.

This plan translates the long-term vision and aspirations from our 'Future Federation 2040 Community Strategic Plan' into tangible, annual deliverables. It details how we will progress the principal activities established in the four-year Delivery Program, ensuring our efforts are aligned with your priorities across the five pillars: Built, Economic, Natural, Social, and Well-Governed Federation.

Federation Council Mayor, Cr Cheryl Cook, emphasised the plan's importance in turning vision into reality.

“This Operational Plan is our promise to the community for the year ahead,” Mayor Cook said.

“It provides a clear overview of how your feedback and our long-term vision are being put into action. We encourage everyone to review the document and see exactly how Council will be working to build a thriving and sustainable future for our region over the next twelve months.”

The Annual Budget, an integral part of this plan, reflects our commitment to sound financial management. It prioritizes the long-term sustainability of our existing assets and provides a basis for transparency and accountability in how we allocate resources.

General Manager Adrian Butler highlighted the document's role in guiding the Council's work.

“This document is a testament to our commitment to responsible governance and effective resource management,” Mr Butler said.

“It provides a clear direction for our staff and detailed information for the community on how we will implement our plans. We look forward to working collaboratively with our community, businesses, and all levels of government to achieve the projects and actions set out in this Operational Plan and Annual Budget for 2025/26.”
