Federation Council celebrates NSW Youth Week every April by encouraging young residents to get involved and celebrate their contribution to their community.
NSW Youth Week in 2021 is from Friday 16 April to Saturday 24 April. This year’s theme is 'Together More Than Ever' in which Federation Council and the Federation Youth Council will bring to life a series of events, across the Council area, in collaboration with community groups and businesses.
The following events will be on offer throughout Youth Week:
Capturing the light and Sunset
Saturday 10 April, 5pm-8pm, Memorial Hall, Corowa
Ever wanted to know how to get the best pictures for your Instagram? We have the answer!
Register for all the hot tips and tricks in a photography workshop hosted by Corowa local Photographer, Sue Davis. After some professional tips, hit the streets with Sue and your camera (or phone camera) to capture the most Instagram worthy pics you will take yet!
Sue has been a photographer for 26 years and has captured everything from sunsets, local food snaps to events. She’s even going to set you up with some nifty tips and resources to take home.
Then over Youth Week, head out and capture your professional pics at any of the Youth Week activities or out on the town, submit them to us and come May 1st, you may even get a little giveaway!

Mulwala Colour Run
Sunday 18 April, 10:30am - 2pm, Lonsdale Reserve, Mulwala
Come and join us for Mulwala’s first ever Colour run hosted at Lonsdale Reserve.
Register for our awesome Colour Run gift packs which have a coloured pair of sunnies, colourful head band and a colour bomb that you can drop on ANYONE at any time throughout the run!
We have partnered with Mulwala FNC who will have BBQ food available, there will be live music, market stalls and Youth services stalls as well. Play the lawns games or simply sit down on a picnic rug and enjoy the atmosphere.

Come and try Sports Day
Wednesday 21 April, 12:00pm - 3:00pm, Oaklands Central School
A free come and try sports day at Oaklands Central School, from 12pm – 3pm in collaboration with Corowa Soccer association, Corowa Hockey Club and other lawn games and sports, Fete and free BBQ
Free BBQ Lunch provided and an opportunity to socialize with other local students.
Come and try Skate Day
Saturday 24 April, 10am - 1:30pm, Lowe Square Reserve, Howlong
Come and try skate day in partnership with The TOTEM Collective, a Youth focused skateboarding program for beginners through to the more experienced.
Come learn to skate in a relaxed immersive program or for the more experienced, improve your kick flips by registering with TOTEMS experienced skaters and instructors.
Enjoy live music, connect with local youth services, take advantage of the giant lawn games and enjoy a day out altogether.
