COMMUNITY FORUM REGARDING PROPOSED 41 LOT SUBDIVISION

A community forum will be held on Monday 25 August 2025 at 5.30pm the Community Centre 110 Hammer Street, Howlong. The forum is being held as a result of the Council resolution at its July 2025 Council meeting at which Councillors considered that further community consultation was required in relation to the standard of construction of Pearce Street.  A copy of the resolution follows:

  • Development: 41 Lot Subdivision, earthworks, vegetation removal and infrastructure provision.

 

213/2025FC RESOLVED

 on the motion of Councillors Derek Schoen and David Bott

1.    THAT Council receive and note the contents of this report;

2.    THAT   Council   defer   determination   of   Development   Application   10.2024.64.1   for subdivision comprising 41 residential allotments; earthworks; vegetation removal; and infrastructure provision at Lots 1-4 Section 82 DP758528, No's 1-19 Jude Street Howlong, to enable consultation and consideration of Pearce St to remain as an unsealed road;

3.    THAT a revised assessment report be presented to the earliest possible council meeting following these processes being completed; and

4.    THAT Council advise all persons who lodged submissions regarding the development application and all registered attendees at the Community Meeting of 1 April 2025 of this decision.
